Biomass crusher / Biomass shredder is special machine widely used in biomass power industries. It is designed to crush all kinds of biomass materials. The main materials for the biomass crusher are film faced plywood, waste wooden pallet, household decoration waste, veneer, waste furniture, tree barks, brushes, branches, etc. With special designed hammer knife, our biomass crusher can crush materials which have nails or bolts inside.
Working Principle:
Biomass crusher / Biomass shredder consists of knife drum, body frame, electric motor or diesel engine, feed and outfeed conveyor, control cabinet, etc.
There are knives or hammer blades fixed on the knife drum which is drove to rotate on high speed. The biomass materials will meet the rotating knives or hammer blades when they are feed into the crusher and then they become wood chips. Finally, the qualified wood chips fall onto the conveyor belt after passing the screen.
There are 2-10 knives fixed on the knife drum which is drove to rotate on high speed. The wood logs will meet the rotating knives when they are feed into the chipper and then they become perfect wood chips of uniform size. Finally, the qualified wood chips fall onto the conveyor belt after passing the screen.

Biomass crusher infeed system:
The biomass crusher is usually equipped with steel chain plate conveyor. It is much better and stronger than rubber belt conveyor to bear the friction of complex and hard wood materials. So it has much longer running life than rubber.

Knife drum
Knife drum is the major important parts of the biomass crusher. It consists of drum, knives or hammer blades, knife clamp, knife seat and main shaft. The biomass crusher can make wood chips of different size by adopting different quantity of knives on the drum. With different quantity of knives, the wood chips length are standard designed from 10mm to 100mm. In a reasonable scope, other size of chips could be customized as user’s requirement.
There are two types of knife drums for the biomass crusher to fit different raw materials. Knife type of drum is good choice for materials such as plywood, pallet, waste furniture and other similar materials (These materials always has nails or bolts inside). And for the materials such as logs, tree branches, straws, hammer blade type of drum is best choice.

Wood chips size:
The wood chips made by biomass crusher are normally designed to 30-80mm to meet the different requirements.For some special use, the chips could be also designed to much smaller or bigger.

Control system:
All the running section of the biomass crusher is controlled by one combined control panel. It is equipped with infeed, outfeed, feed reverse, oil pump and emergency stop control buttons. All the control panel have motor protection function. For security, there is remote controlling for choice. It is a effective solution to protect the operators.
